Atlanta’s Hidden Gem for Luminous Blondes

Whether you’re seeking a sun-kissed balayage, an icy masterpiece, or a subtle honeyed glow, we’re here to make your blonde hair dreams a reality.

The idea for The Blonde Salon was conceived on Independence Day 2011. Our founder and owner, Sarah Lee Adams, was lying on a sunny Florida beach when the realization hit her that something was not quite right in her life. With three years in the industry and multiple salon jobs under her belt, Sarah was beginning to see what worked and what didn’t. She had also come to understand what she liked and what she’d rather leave behind. Her solution? Combine the best parts of her past experiences and her greatest original ideas to create her own ideal salon. It’s an idea she couldn’t help but run with, and so just a couple of weeks later, on July 22, The Blonde Salon opened its doors.

Sarah forged her own path so that she could take everything she’d learned and put it to good use, using her knowledge as a basis for invention and experimentation. The goal? Give her clients the best hair possible. At The Blonde Salon, the integrity of the hair is the most important thing when cutting, coloring, or even styling a client’s hair. Our stylists always provide a thorough consultation, explain the processes they use and why, and ensure that clients know exactly what they are getting. Above all, we want our clients to feel confident that their hair is in caring and capable hands.

Sarah Lee Adams

Sarah comes to us from the small town of Creole, Louisiana (fun fact: she used to show cows!). After graduating from Paul Mitchell in 2008, she started her career at Studio Urbane working under the platform artist Cynthia Roy. From there, she moved on to Fairfax, Virginia, where she managed scheduling for a team of over 20 stylists. For a time, she moved back to Baton Rouge and worked as an assistant at Salon Boheme.

Sarah’s next move was to Atlanta, where she went to work at Radius Salon in the Vinings area. She joined the salon team there to start the apprenticeship program and learn from Susan, the coloring specialist there. She eventually settled into being a stylist there, and from there, the rest is history. Sarah founded The Blonde Salon in late July of 2011, and it’s been going strong ever since.

As a stylist, Sarah’s passion is for delivering shiny, healthy, natural looking color. She works with the client to give them the best hair for their skin tone, hair texture, and desired level of maintenance. Her biggest goal is to always have happy clients with continually improving hair. She loves to do partial highlights, and her favorite products include the Colorproof Baobab shampoo and conditioner, and the K18 treatment mask.

Outside of her work as a small business owner and hair stylist, Sarah loves to golf and attend concerts and sporting events. She is a mother to her three-year-old son Conner, whom she enjoys taking to cool exhibits and child-friendly museums. As a survivor herself, Sarah is extremely passionate about hurricane relief, and has led events in and out of the salon to provide help to those affected by natural disasters. She’s always been inspired by stories of kindness and generosity in the community.

Sarah is a work hard, play hard kind of gal who is always looking to better herself through continuous education. She is a woman on a mission of personal and professional growth.

Jess Hoelle

Our girl Jess is a Georgia native from Peachtree City, and has been with The Blonde Salon for four years! She actually started here as a makeup artist and hair assistant, and after graduating from Paul Mitchell in 2019, worked her way to being a full-time stylist. It’s something she’s wanted to do since she was in the sixth grade.

Jess’ favorite things to do as a stylist are blonde highlights and money pieces, and she’s a huge fan of both the Color Wow Money Mask and the K18 treatment mask. Clients love Jess for her kind, empathetic, but still sassy nature. Her favorite part of being a stylist is that she gets to make people feel beautiful and confident while also being a safe space for them to talk about the things going on in their lives. And she loves to talk to people and make new friends!

When she’s not in the salon, Jess loves to travel and attend concerts. Her favorite destinations are Disney World and Italy. And if Machine Gun Kelly is in town? You can bet she’ll be there and having the time of her life. Jess is also all about Christmas and Halloween, and the holidays go hand-in-hand with her love for shopping. As much fun as she has out and about though, Jess is always content to spend time at home with her friends and her puppy, Stormy.

Jess is a hard worker through and through, and is always trying to be the best possible version of herself. She hopes to maybe own her own salon or teach someday. As she chases that dream, she’ll continue to be a role model to her friends and family and do everything she can to make an impact on people’s lives as she goes.

Gavin Stewart

Another Louisiana native, Gavin was born in New Orleans but raised here in Atlanta. He graduated from Roffler/Toni&Guy in 2003, and has been working behind the chair as an Atlanta stylist for 19 years! Gavin has been at The Blonde Salon for about a year and a half now, and we are so glad that he decided to join us!

Gavin is great at creating relationships with his clients. He’s always down for a good chat during an appointment (though haircuts are his favorite - instant gratification), and he’s easily one of the most heartfelt and personable people you’ll ever meet. He finds the most fulfillment not just in the artistry of his job, but also in being able to connect with people while making them feel and look amazing. He approaches each day with the goal of growing his skills and servicing his clients to the best of his ability.

When he’s not working, Gavin loves to travel, eat good food, and make his own specialty cocktails. He also does some amazing street photography on the side (which you can find at his website!). Most importantly, Gavin spends as much time as he can with the people he loves, be they his family or his friends. His fun personality makes him the best person to take on the town with, and he’s always looking to make people smile.

Gavin is a total dreamer at heart. He’s inspired most by seeing the world, and he wants to experience everything that it has to offer.

Rachel Legg

Rachel is a proud Smyrna, Georgia native who has always had a passion for creativity and helping others feel their best. After graduating from the Aveda Arts & Sciences Institute in 2026, she began pursuing her dream of becoming a hairstylist, combining her artistic side with her love for building meaningful connections. For Rachel, the salon has always been more than a place to get your hair done—it has been a space where she felt confident, comfortable, and completely herself. Today, she's passionate about creating that same experience for every client who sits in her chair.

For Rachel, hairstyling is about so much more than creating beautiful hair—it's about helping people feel seen, heard, and confident in themselves. She loves building genuine relationships with her clients and creating an experience where they can relax, feel cared for, and leave feeling like the very best version of themselves. Rachel especially loves creating bright, dimensional blondes through full highlight services and enjoys helping clients achieve healthy, beautiful hair by incorporating K18 treatments into her services. She also loves recommending products that help her guests recreate that fresh-from-the-salon look long after they leave the chair.

Outside of the salon, Rachel enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends, staying active with workouts at the gym, soaking up the sunshine, and ending the day with a relaxing evening walk. She's also incredibly passionate about music and spends much of her free time writing songs or discovering new artists at live concerts. Rachel believes happiness comes from appreciating life's simple moments and surrounding yourself with people who inspire you to grow. Her long-term goal is to continue expanding her skills behind the chair while eventually becoming an educator, sharing her knowledge and passion with future hairstylists. Whether she's creating a beautiful blonde transformation or simply being a listening ear, Rachel strives to make every client feel welcomed, valued, and excited to come back.
